Summary:
I am writing this email about an issue concerning "Federated
Charging and Rating Facility" Specification (V1.0 Specs: dtc/03:01-01)
Adopted 09/02, finalised 12/02.

Linda Strick, who represents Fraunhofer FOKUS in OMG, asked me contact you.

The issue concerns first paragraph of section 1.1.2 "The IPDR
Organization" of the above mentioned specification.
Could you please replace _only_ the first paragraph of
section 1.1.2 by the paragraph given below:

------------- Replacement Text -------------------
The IPDR (www.ipdr.org) organization is an industrial consortium. Its
membership includes some of the prominent vendors providing management
solution for IP-based network. For an up-to-date information on IPDR
membership and its results, please refer to IPDR website. The purpose of
IPDR organization is to define the essential elements of information
exchange between network elements and services, OSS (Operation Support
System) and BSS (Business Support System). The definition will provide the
foundation for development of open, carrier-grade support systems that
will enable next-generation networks and services to operate efficiently
and cost effectively. For the specification of interfaces between OSSs and
BSSs, IPDR organization has adopted the core functional roles and
interfaces that TMForum's Telecommunications Operation Map (TOM) has
identified [GB910].
