Issue 10770: use case for multiple valueFields (data-distribution-rtf) Source: PrismTech (Mr. Erik Hendriks, erik.hendriks(at)prismtech.com) Nature: Clarification Severity: Summary: Problem: The DTD , the monoAttribute and multiAttribute elements allow multiple valueField elements to be specified inside them. It is not explained for which use-cases something like that would be convenient. Solution: In case the attribute is a struct, it could be used to map it directly onto multiple value Fields in the topic using the order in which the members of the struct are mentioned. (However, for such cases it might be better to map each struct member individually using its scoped name to avoid confusion.) It could also make sense to use it for elements inside an array. However, the exact use-case for which this is allowed should be mentioned explicitly, referably with good examples. TBD. Resolution: Revised Text: Actions taken: February 15, 2007: received issue Discussion: Explain the use case for multiple valueFields in the mono-attribute and multi-attribute elements.
