This issue was intended as a place holder to get the SyML UPDM updates on our agenda. After discussions with Sandy, we've agreed to form a team to work out the details and submit specific, point by point issues. We expect to follow up face to face on this issue specifically just before the next OMG meeting in Jacksonville. Most likely Sunday afternoon before the main sessions. In the interim we'll schedule offf-line telcons to work out the details. Any FTF or other interested members wishing to particpate, please contact me and I'll set up telcon/WebEx invites. As a first step in the process for handling FTF issues, each one will be assigned to a member to propose a specific change to the specification, or other possible resolution. In this case, the above issue does not contain enough information to make any changes. Since you submitted the issue, I expect the FTF will assign it to you to provide the details. As members of the FTF, we need to be very specific when submitting Issues in order that they may be processed effectively. Please submit one issue for each element that needs to be updated and what that update should be. To be incorporated in the specification, we will need each stereotype reference to be considered, the latest SysML revisions, and what the change should be. It will also need the section number, e.g., 8.4.1.6 Xxxxx so that we can identify where the changes need to be made - i.e., the exact wording and any diagrams to be inserted into the document. _______________________________ Fred Mervine Executive IT Architect Federal CTO Strategic Technology Team IBM Software Group Federal Phone: 707-468-8460 Cell: 707-367-1541 Ron C Williamson 08/01/07 10:42 AM To updm-ftf@omg.org cc ian@modelfutures.com Subject Process/Mechanism for submitting issues to our UPDM FTF All, I contacted Juergen Boldt at OMG to help clarify (for me) the process and mechanisms for submitting issues to our UPDM FTF.
