Issue 1135: POAManager transition to same state (port-rtf) Source: (, ) Nature: Uncategorized Issue Severity: Summary: Summary: The POAManager processing states diagram does not show an arrow from a given state to itself. Does it mean that the state transition from one state to the same state is disallowed? The accompanying text does not talk about this. Suggestion is to allow one state to same state transition without raising an exception. The action should be no-op. Revision: Page 9-14, Section 9.3.2 "POAManager Interface", subsection "Processing States". Add the following paragraph after the end of the first paragraph: "For simplicity in the figure and the explanation, operations that would not cause a state change are not shown. For example, if a POA is in "active" state, it does not change state due to an activate operation. Such operations complete successfully with no special notice. The only exception is the inactive state: a "deactivate" operation raises an exception just the same as every other attempted state change operation."
