Resolution: We need to find a comprehensive way to deal with all kind of extension. This may be expressed in a discussion paper and/or in future major revisions of the standard. Anyway, since it's still possible to add a new item in the enumeration in a non-standardized way, this issue doesn't preclude implementations.
