In addition to the four below the following additional information should be included. An agency carrying out a records identification process, or implementing records management should consider the primary purpose is to first identify the records being received or created. Then, the records can be categorized using the appropriate records schedule. It is the categorization of the record that provides the record with its disposition. It can be that some organizations lump their records into temporary and permanent without broadly understanding some of their temporary records may have dispositions of 75 years or more. Therefore, it is correct for an organization to first determine record category then identifying their records are either temporary or permanent. 1. An approved record schedule comprises a record categorization schema, which includes record categories, and an approved disposition instructions for each category. 2. Disposition instructions comprise an ordered set of actions that will be carried out on a set of records. The records in the set are determined by a Cutoff. 3. A DispositionRecordSet is an instance based on a DispositionInstruction that has begun to (or is prepared to) execute for a particular set of records. It tracks the DispositionActions that have occurred as well as the planned actions for the records in the set. 4. When a record is captured, it is assigned to a Record Category. At that time the appropriate Disposition Plan is determined for the record and it is added to that plan.
