Issue 14679: Contradiction in constraint for Start Events in Event Subprocess (bpmn2-ftf) Source: International Business Machines (Ms. Suzette Samoojh, ssamoojh(at)ca.ibm.com) Nature: Revision Severity: Minor Summary: Apparent contradiction, assuming I'm reading the constraint right. The spec states that "An Event Sub-Process MUST have a single Start Event". I interpret this to mean exactly one. And yet the spec allows a Start Event with a Multiple or Parallel Multiple event definition. These are short-hand for multiple Start Events, each with a single event definition. Hence a contradiction in functionality and intent. Recommend updating the spec constraint to state "An Event Sub-Process MUST have at least one Start Event". Resolution: This is not a problem with the specification, so we close with no change Disposition: Closed, No Change Revised Text: Actions taken: November 19, 2009: received issue October 21, 2010: closed issue Discussion: End of Annotations:===== s is issue # 14679 [OMG 14679] Contradiction in constraint for Start Events in Event Subprocess ##Source: IBM (Suzette Samoojh, ssamoojh@ca.ibm.com) ##Original Issue: http://www.osoa.org/jira/browse/BPMN-554 ##Original Info: (Severity: Minor - Nature: Revision) Apparent contradiction, assuming I'm reading the constraint right.
