Discussion: 
This is now section 1.1 and subparagraphs.  The text is not really part of 

the C language mapping and further it is not completely correct for the C 

Language mapping.   The errors show up where the text use examples 

and always makes a statement like " for example, the C mapping might 

define..." where in latter parts of the document we do define the actual 

mapping.  The other language mappings that I checked do not have an 

equivalent section.
