Discussion: 
Treatment of datatypes and data ranges has been vastly improved in OWL 2, and is required for development of emerging standards such as the Information Exchange Policy Vocabulary and Financial Industry Business Ontology families.  The resolution, below, revises the OWL 2 metamodel and profile in support of these capabilities
