Summary: A ranking in SMM results in a mapping to symbolic value (a string), which is unit-less, and which does not allow to be used as factor in further measure-based computations. 
It is required that similar interval-based mapping can also be used to result in a dimensional measurement, the value of which is numeric. 


Proposed changes:
Rename SMM Ranking into GradeMeasure  
Rename SMM Grade into GradeMeasurement
Rename RankingInterval into GradeInterval.
Add another measure, called RankingMeasure (specialization of DimensionalMeasure); It has associated RankingInterval (very much like the existing ones) 
Ranking intervals of RankingMeasure have a numeric value instead of a symbolic string value.
