Summary: Suggest adding a reference to the section where association end notations are discussed.  When I got to figure 7.1, I realized that no one had yet told me what a ball or a colored diamond on an association end meant. I don't think we can assume that readers will necessarily have enough past history with UML to know all of this stuff without the spec being explicit.
