Issue 17956: Location: Page 270/271, 12.2.3 Semantics - Model description confusing (uml25-ftf) Source: Oracle (Mr. Dave Hawkins, dave.hawkins(at)oracle.com) Nature: Revision Severity: Significant Summary: The description of Model uses viewpoint, vantage point and perspective. I realise these are synonyms but they don't really all need to be used here. Just use viewpoint as that is the attribute name. A Model is a view, but that isn't mentioned until the third paragraph. Really that should be in the first paragraph. Abstraction is also used giving the impression that it is something distinct from the viewpoint. However surely the viewpoint defines the level of abstraction. It might be a good idea to the define the terms viewpoint and view first of all and then show how Model relates to them.
