Issue 18005: Location: p. 357 StateMachine Redefinition (uml25-ftf) Source: International Business Machines (Mr. Omar Badreddin, oobahy(at)gmail.com) Nature: Clarification Severity: Significant Summary: StateMachine Redefinition Notation As far as I remember, this is a new specification in UML 2.5. The semantics of redefining state machine is clear. I find it rather confusing is the notation. When you redefine a generalized state machine, you typically do not want to redraw the whole state machine. The proposed notation means that the whole state machine must be re-drawn with the added modeling elements. Also, this notation supports only the addition to the generalized state machine, but not the deletion or modification of the generalized state machine Resolution: Revised Text: Actions taken: September 27, 2012: received issue Discussion: End of Annotations:===== s is issue # 18005 Problem: 14.061 Severity: Medium Type: Clarification Location: p. 357 StateMachine Redefinition Title: StateMachine Redefinition Notation As far as I remember, this is a new specification in UML 2.5.
