Issue 18543: vsip_dsvd_getattr_p missing (vsiplxx-rtf) Source: (, ) Nature: Clarification Severity: Minor Summary: In VSIPL 1.3 (VSIPL before OMG) there is a get attribute function defined for SVD's. The function definition seems to be missing from VSIPL 1.4 (although the function is mentioned throughout the spec). This appears to be an editing omission during translation of 1.3 to 1.4. The details are captured in issue 18543: http://omg.org/issues/vsiplxx-rtf.open.html#Issue18543 This was a simple omission from me translating the old MS Word-based spec into DocBook, and is thus easy to fix, which I just did. Here are the steps I followed (I should probably also document this process on our portal): 1) I created an issue in the vsip project on github.com: https://github.com/vsip/specs/issues/1 2) I filled in the missing bits: https://github.com/vsip/specs/commit/408706abdaeefb3738f002debfc8ca3b1f6c565a (I marked the added section with 'revisionflag="added"', to allow it to be marked up with change-marks in the generated output. Once we submit new versions of the spec at the end of the RTF, we'll need to include both, documents with change-marks, as well as documents without, so keeping these markers in until then is very important.) 3) I regenerated HTML output and uploaded it to our portal: http://portals.omg.org/hpec/files/specs/drafts/vsipl/linalg.xhtml#dsvd_getattr As you can see, the process is straight-forward (once you have the right tools and have done it at least once), so I encourage you all to get involved to allow us to make progress as fast as possible. Of course, quite a few of the issues at http://omg.org/issues/vsiplxx-rtf.open.html will actually require some discussion, which I expect is where our main effort will need to go. Hopefully we can talk a little more about that in our upcoming HPEC WG call on June 18. Thanks, Stefan -- Stefan Seefeld CodeSourcery / Mentor Graphics http://www.mentor.com/embedded-software/
