How about embedded software (test software and process control
software associated with the part)? Is there any software process
management tool interface strategy (i.e. Clear Case, PCMS, etc.)?

[Embedded software - flash programming - is a part of some
products. This software should be part of the Bill of Information -
BOI tools are not sophisticated enough to handle software process
management - and it's out of their scope. But the interfaces are
needed to track s/w development within a CASE tool (e.g., query when
release for inclusion in a product will become available).

Product test software is a similar issue except it probably isn't
included in the product - but may be! It needs to be part of the BOI.
