Issue 2248: Clarify and expand the text that explains how or why ECIs yield ECRs. Resolution: Revised Text: Actions taken: December 7, 1998: received issue Discussion: End of Annotations:===== 2.9.3.6 To interface with Workflow, create an object that inherits from this interface and the Workflow Requester interface. ((Not in changeMgmt)) In a separate Enabler (in Engineering Change, or in Workflow, or elsewhere) create an object that inherits from EngChangeRequest and from the Workflow Requester interface. ((Maybe Dan can provide some more explanation, if it seems worthwhile to pursue as an RTF issue)) There is no change to the specification, but rather a request to explain how the PDM Enablers can work together with the JointFlow specification. Additional text could be added to section 1.11.3. The Omg Workflow specification and the Pdm Enablers are complementary. The PDM Enablers provides the repository for information (even multiple versions) and Workflow provides the Process to dynamically change the information. One possible connection is tie the PDM Enablers and Workflow together by having an interface inherit from Wf_requester and EngChangerequest. The engineering change process would use EngChangeIssue as input and produce at various steps in the process EngChangeOrder, EcoDeliverable, EngChangeNotice, and part or document revisions.
