Summary: In the IDL chapter, we have a table with the union IDL
specification
that shows some "matching rules" (Table 3-12). Is it just me, or does
that table
say
essentially nothing and is utterly redundant? What is meant here,
other than
that the value of a case label must be in the range of discriminator
type? Can
we please
delete the table and replace it with a single sentence that states
that case
labels must be in the range of the discriminator type?

I propose the following resolution: The table and the associated
paragraph is
redundant hence should be removed.

Revised Text: Remove the last paragraph and table 3-12 from page 3-36.
