Issue 3409: IIOP 1.2 Early Reply message in presence of fragmented Request (interop) Source: ICL (Mr. Chris Wood, ) Nature: Uncategorized Issue Severity: Summary: It is unclear in the spec when reply messages are allowed when a fragmented send message is sent. It is possible to know that a system exception will occour before the last fragment in a message is recieved, for example the request can be demultiplexed to discover the object does not exist, or the appropriate service contexts are not present. It should be legal to send a reply containing anything but a NO_EXCEPTION or USER_EXCEPTION before the last fragment is recieved. Resolution: close without revision Revised Text: Actions taken: March 8, 2000: received issue October 4, 2000: closed issue Discussion: End of Annotations:===== From: Chris Wood To: "'issues@omg.org'" Subject: Issue: IIOP 1.2 Early Reply message in presence of fragmented Req uest Date: Wed, 8 Mar 2000 18:43:57 -0000 MIME-Version: 1.0 X-Mailer: Internet Mail Service (5.5.2448.0) Content-Type: text/plain; charset="iso-8859-1" X-UIDL: g3Td9m_Pe9!B%!!]0Td9 It is unclear in the spec when reply messages are allowed when a fragmented send message is sent.
