There is 1 optional module. First of all, the word "must" means nothing in an OMG document. The word used shall be "shall", this can be editorial if the word "must" was used in the current document. Sencond of all, I don't think an FTF or an RTF can make changes to the conformance items. > Module PKI (Mandatory) > All specified constructs > Module PKIAuthority (Mandatory) > All specified interfaces and constructs > Module PKIRepository (Mandatory) > All specified interfaces and constructs > Module PKIExtension (Optional) > All specified interfaces and constructs" Specifically, what are the changes? Here is the revised text: To be compliant to this specification an implementor shall support the following 3 mandatory modules. - PKI - PKIAuthority - PKIRepository There is 1 optional module supporting X500 repositories. - PKIExtension [snip] > Sencond of all, I don't think an FTF or an RTF can make changes to the > conformance items. Yes it can. > Specifically, what are the changes? This simply states that a fully compiant system need not include an X500 based repository (which is not needed for interoperability). Cheers, Steve. It states what modules are required for polling and those for callbacks defining 2 levels of conformance. Since issue #4197 brings everything in line with AMI it changes this conformance chapter dramatically. The changes to the repository (#4444) also affect this chapter. To be correct the changes should've been included with the resolutions to these issues and was an oversight on my behalf. The changes make it absolutely necessary to change this chapter. The changes are pragmatic simplifications and so follows the conformance chapter. I am happy to go with the new wording proposed by Stephen McConnell: "To be compliant to this specification an implementor shall support the following 3 mandatory modules. - PKI - PKIAuthority - PKIRepository There is 1 optional module supporting X500 repositories. - PKIExtension" Cheers Simon > > > Polar Humenn wrote: > > > > On Wed, 12 Dec 2001, Simon Gibson wrote: > > > > > Guys, > > > > > > Here is the last issue to be voted on I know there is no time > really but > > > if you can express an opinion that would be great else it will > get > > > deferred to the RTF.
