Issue 4833: Use explicit references for MOF (spem-ftf) Source: Adaptive (Mr. Pete Rivett, pete.rivett@adaptive.com) Nature: Uncategorized Issue Severity: Summary: SPEM should use explicit references rather than leaving MOF to generate them, driven by non-navigable association ends. This is because non-navigability has a stronger effect in MOF than just not generating the references, which compromises the ability to perform 'where used' navigations. Adopting this approach will be consistent with UML and CWM metamodels. Resolution: Accept Revised Text: Pete will make these changes to the model after all other changes have been made and prior to generating DTD and XMI. After all other changes have been made, the diagrams in the document are to be substituted with diagrams explicitly showing the references as follows: Figure 2.2: Figure 2.4: Figure 2.5: Figure 2.6: Figure 2.7: Figure 2.8: Figure 2.9: Figure 2.10: Figure 5.1: Figure 7.1: Figure 9.1: Disposition: Accepted on conference call 28/5/2002 [CD 29/5/2002] Actions taken: February 12, 2002: received issue October 23, 2002: closed issue Discussion: End of Annotations:===== From: "Pete Rivett" To: Cc: Subject: New SPEM Issues Date: Tue, 12 Feb 2002 18:16:59 -0000 Message-ID: <003b01c1b3f1$76e69e00$5da823d9@CHIMAY> MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit X-Priority: 3 (Normal) X-MSMail-Priority: Normal X-Mailer: Microsoft Outlook CWS, Build 9.0.2416 (9.0.2911.0) In-Reply-To: Importance: Normal X-MimeOLE: Produced By Microsoft MimeOLE V5.50.4910.0300 Content-Type: text/plain; charset="us-ascii" X-UIDL: ! Issue 4673 had already been accepted. We revised the resolution of that issue to include the correct package dependency diagram which corresponds to the XMI generation and which had been omitted from the earlier resolution. Issue 4833 had already been accepted. We revised the resolution to change several of the class diagrams in the spec to show the physical references from which the XMI is generated. Issue 4980 had been accepted but remained a matter of debate. We revised the resolution to adopt Pete's formulation, that the associations between WorkDefinition and Goal/Precondition were shown as derived in the model (hence no XMI generated), and we changed the OCL constraints to restrict the multiplicity to 1. We voted on these resolutions on the call and the votes were as follows: Steve Cook Yes Mariano Belaunde Yes Philippe Kruchten Yes Pete Rivett Yes Louis Taborda Yes Hiroshi Miyazaki Yes Steve Cook IBM Distinguished Engineer, Member of IBM Academy AIM Strategy and Architecture Office +44 1932 754017 (internal 384017) Mobile +44 7802 155856 (internal 271096) Home office +44 1279 465796
