Issue 4839: Clarification of the term 'Analysis' (uml-scheduling-ftf) Source: Commissariat a l Energie Atomique-CEA (Dr. Sebastien Gerard, sebastien.gerard(at)cea.fr) Nature: Uncategorized Issue Severity: Summary: Below in the text, the term “Analysis” is used alone (i.e. without reference with objective of the anaysis, i.e. Performance, Scheduling, … which are real-time properties analysis) in association with “model” without and then become very ambiguous because if it is well understood by the majority of real-time system analysts I think it could be misunderstood by non real-time specialist modelers. Indeed, this terms is often used in process definition too as being the development stage where the modeler specify what the system has to do. And yet, this document will be certainly read by non real-time specialists too. To avoid such confusion, I propose to explicitly write “real-time properties analysis” or something closed to that. Resolution: see above Revised Text: Replace the term "analysis" by "model analysis" throughout document. Actions taken: February 7, 2002: received issue June 30, 2003: closed issue Discussion: Resolution: The term analysis (for model analysis) has been replaced throughout the document, by the term "model analysis" End of Annotations:===== Below in the text, the if it is well understood by the majority of real-time system analysts I think it could be misunderstood by non real-time specialist modelers.
