Discussion: 
This may be true in certain analysis domains, but I do not believe that it holds for all necessarily. Hence, the general nature of the concept of "duration" in this abstract part of the model should be retained and then refined in the appropriate subsections. This is related to the proposed resolution of issue 5711. Hence, this should be retained as an RTF item.
