Issue 6475: Section 8.3.1 Component (uml2-superstructure-ftf) Source: Sparx Systems Pty Ltd (Mr. James D. Baker, omg(at)objectsandaspects.com) Nature: Uncategorized Issue Severity: Summary: Figure 81 should have identifiers for the provided interfaces. Figure 83 is not consistent with section 7.15.3 in that it uses a realization instead of a dependency as described in the text related to Figure 62. The examples in this section are not cohesive. It is not clear how Figure 85 relates to the rest of the examples. Resolution: see above Revised Text: Actions taken: November 7, 2003: received issue March 8, 2005: closed issue Discussion: Add to figure 81 the following two name labels with the provided interfaces that are currently unlabeled: “ItemAllocation” and “Tracking”. Figure 83 is correct in using Dependencies to denote the provided and required interfaces in the type declaration of a component (in this case, one without ports). Note that section 7.15.3 has been revised as a result of other issues logged. It is correct that the set of examples in this chapter (as in others) do not form a single complete worked example. This is left to books and other publications. End of Annotations:===== ection 8.3.1 Component Figure 81 should have identifiers for the provided interfaces.
