I thougt that it means "two dots", so it was actually the same as "colon". It seems now that the "double colon" is in fact "::". If that's right, we have a bug in the LSID spec. It says (section 8.1): "The LSID declaration consists of the following parts, separated by double colons". Is this a bug? If yes, we need to raise an issue.
