The OCL statements would be normative and text descriptions would be informative in this case. We'll also put that explanation in the Conformance section. Issue 7596 is the comment that Camille made, and not an actual issue. That proposed comment will be captured in the resolution to issue 7586. I hope this clarifies things a little. It was entered by mistake as an issue. That is why it has to be closed because it is not an issue at all. It's part of the proposed solution to 7586. Specifically, I think that we need to be aware that the PIM and PSM document will have differing levels of audience when PIM & PSM becomes an official standard. Many of those in the new audience will be less strong with the less used portions of UML such as OCL. So keeping the text will help those folks. Adding the OCL will be valuable because it can be more precise, help folks who want to write tools and keep OMG officaldom happy. The only downside I see is keeping the text and OCL in sync, but that shouldn't be a problem for the first version of our standard, since the OCL will be logically derived from the text. my two cents, Camille ============================================================ From: "Demirbilek, Tansu" Date: 2004/07/28 Wed AM 10:28:21 EDT To: "Paniscotti, Dominick \(US SSA\)" , "Hayes, Persnaz N" , Subject: RE: SWRADIO FTF - Vote to Close Issue 7596 Hi Dominick, We raised issue 7586 first, then Camille made the suggestion that text descriptions be kept while adding the OCL statements.
