Issue 8092: Section: 7.3.15 (uml2-rtf) Source: (, ) Nature: Clarification Severity: Minor Summary: I am confused by the statements that say "the name of the imported element must be qualified in order to to used and is not added to the importing namespace." Add a statement to clarify that if the name is qualified, how the element is referenced by another element. Resolution: Revised Text: Actions taken: January 19, 2005: received issue August 23, 2006: closed issue Discussion: I see no problem with this text. It seems perfectly clear. Basically, it is saying that, in case of a name clash with a local element, the element with the clashing name is not imported. If the latter element needs to be referenced, the fully qualified name has to be used.
