This is because (a) the tool that we are using to draw the diagrams does not support this non-standard notation and (b) the information was sometimes misleading since it only showed the last name of a hierarchical name, which could be ambiguous (which, BTW, is why the tool no longer supports that information). However, the proper information can be gleaned from the spec by checking the "Generalizations" subsection of every metaclass in the spec. This information is in the form of a hyperlinked cross-reference and allows easy navigation through the class hierachy in the text itself. Hope this is useful. Close the issue. After working my way through the specification further, I "caught on" to the new display method, which differs in style from the ptc version of the specification. Instead of a hyperlinked cross-reference, we are trying out other means for our analysis engine. Thanks for your help!
