The Boston meeting: The logo 8a has won!
The rules (as they were)
- The goal: To find a nice graphical representation of the LSR mission and goals
- The deadline: the 11th July (at the Boston meeting)
- Voting: the 12th July at the LSR plenary
- The requirements: Reasonably small for the network transmissions, reasonably scalable to be put on the LSR web pages
- Procedure: Send the proposals (preferable in the gif or jpeg format) to the LSR Web Pages Working Group chair.
The contest is anonymous (only the chair of the LSR Web Pages working group knows the authors but he will not participate in voting).
You can send several proposals.
You can also send several similar proposals that differ only in small graphical details (colors, line thinkness, etc.). Such proposals will be voted for as one "family" - and in case it is selected, the second vote will decide which concrete proposal will be the right one.

(2e) The Logo retains the original DNA helix but adds some much-needed colour to more obvious "LSR" letters. This is a selection of possible colours and line styles. The DNA can be made more/less obvious as a watermark for the LSR logo. author: Karen Jessett
