Insurance Information Days Overview

In order to successfully compete in the “Internet Driven, Flat World,” Insurance companies must become “Agile.” What challenges do they face in their quest for Business Agility? How do they offer their Products and Services globally to newer markets while re-using their Assets (People, Processes, Information, Hardware and software) and respond to global events? What are their regulatory compliance concerns? Is implementing SOA enough to achieve the above stated Agility? Join members of the OMG’s Insurance Working Group and distinguished guest speakers from the Insurance industry as they discuss the challenges and solutions to achieving business agility in insurance. Some highlights of the two-day event include:

Challenges Insurance companies face today and in the future
Using OMG’s Model Driven Architecture (MDA), SOA, Business Process and Information Modeling standards to establish a platform agnostic foundation for Business Agility
Business Driven SOA: what is needed?
Regulatory compliance issues for Insurance
Update on the Property & Casualty Insurance Request For Proposal: several Insurance carriers have expressed interested in responding to this RFP.
Attendees will hear how OMG is collaborating with groups such as ACORD and others to complement their efforts while providing the modeling expertise as its core competence
