About the Sponsors:

Vertel is a leading supplier of network management and network integration software used by telecommunication manufacturers the world over. Vertel's products range from the world's smallest, fastest, carrier-grade ORB to
mediation middleware to TMN network management tools. A strong and committed customer support network provides a variety of optional services, from contract maintenance to customized network management. The company has sales and service offices throughout the Americas, Europe, and Asia.

Vertel's e*ORB is a high-speed, carrier-grade Object Request Broker designed for use where memory utilization is a key concern, and where organizations have standardized on CORBA as a way of integrating legacy systems with newer applications and equipment. Vertel's e*ORB fits in as little as 60KB of memory and is available for all standard platforms. Both C++ and Java versions are available.

Objective Interface Systems, Inc. is a worldwide leader in real-time and embedded communications software.

Objective Interface provides advanced real-time connectivity software development tools for use in products throughout the telecommunications and data communications, aerospace/defense, digital imaging, networking, medical, computer peripherals, automotive, industrial control and Internet markets.

Companies using Objective Interface's real-time and embedded CORBA ORB technology known as ORBexpress produce better products in less time because of:

- Objective Interface's total commitment to customer success and

- the ORBexpress product line's market leading technology advances packaged in a highly reliable, extremely low memory footprint ORB.

ORBexpress has been used in many mission critical real-time systems around the world. These applications include telecommunications switches, data communications network management, portable digital radios, nuclear fusion ignition facilities, vehicle control systems, air traffic control, and many others.

The Phantom Works group of Boeing funded by the RT DII COE recently completed a Real-Time CORBA Trade Study validating ORBexpress as the fastest, best supported real-time ORB technology. Boeing's results showed that ORBexpress adds 3.8 to 13 times less overhead to the network transport when compared with the nearest competitor.

Founded in 1989, Objective Interface is headquartered in Reston, Virginia, USA and services customers worldwide.
