Adobe, Sterling Commerce and More Join OMG
to work on Business Process Management Standards
98% of Former BPMI.org Members Now Working Within the OMG
Needham, MA, USA - September 14, 2005 - The Object Management Group™
(OMG™) today announced that 98% of the members of the former Business
Process Management Initiative (BPMI.org) have joined OMG to continue their
work on Business Process Management (BPM) activities, and to provide
thought leadership and industry standards for this vital and growing
industry.
The new members have joined OMG to continue BPMI's and OMG's
groundbreaking work and focus on all aspects of Business Process
Management. The new member companies include: Adobe Systems, Inc., Axway
Software, Bluespring Software, Inc., British American Tobacco, Casewise
Systems, Inc., CommerceQuest, Inc., ConceptWave Software Inc., DST
Systems, Inc., Exigen, Inc., FileNET Corporation, Flowring Technology

the former BPMI who were already OMG members, including BEA Systems, Inc.,

Technologies, Telelogic as well as the many active OMG members of the
Business Enterprise Integration Domain Task Force.
BPMI's Board of Directors, along with the leadership of the OMG's
Business Enterprise Integration Domain Task Force, will form the core of a
new BPMI Steering Committee, which will provide Business Process
Management thought leadership and expertise for the entire industry
through education programs, public advocacy, and advice to the combined
BPM standards work at OMG. The first Steering Committee meeting is being
held at the OMG Technical Meeting in Atlanta, Georgia, U.S.A. this week.

with more than 98% percent participation, has proven that some of the most
important players in this industry recognize the value of this
