Directory Needham, MA, USA - June 3, 2009 - OMG™ today launched the "OMG Certified Professionals Directory." Anyone who has successfully acquired a Certification in any of the three current OMG Certification programs is eligible for inclusion. The directory is searchable by the public. To view the directory, please visit http://www.omg.org/ocp-pr. The OMG Certified Professionals Directory will allow organizations and individuals to locate OMG Certified Professionals through a search feature. The search can be generated by key word (UML®, BPM, Real-time, etc.), by exam name (OCUP™, OMG Certified UML Professional, etc.), and name (John, Smith). The search also includes a geographic location selection, allowing organizations to more accurately locate individuals with OMG certifications. Individuals with OMG Certifications will receive notification telling them how to opt in to the directory, update their personal and contact information, and control what information is made public in the directory. Full listings may include contact details, current company affiliation, company logo, a photograph of the individual, and certification level(s) achieved. Certified professionals are encouraged to log-on to the website to confirm their information and make any updates necessary. "Tailored to industry job requirements, OMG's certifications help a candidate stand out from the pack, and let a supervisor see who has made the extra effort to maximize his or her knowledge and skills," said Jon Siegel, Ph.D., OMG Vice President of Technology Transfer and Director of Certification. "Those are just some of the reasons why so many professionals hold OMG certifications, and why so many companies make OMG a big part of their departmental certification programs."
