OMG Announces OMG Certified Professionals Directory
Directory will enable search for OCUP, OCRES and OCEB Certified Professionals

Needham, MA, USA - June 3, 2009 - OMG™ today launched the "OMG Certified Professionals Directory." Anyone who has successfully acquired a Certification in any of the three current OMG Certification programs is eligible for inclusion. The directory is searchable by the public. The OMG Certified Professionals Directory will allow organizations and individuals to locate OMG Certified Professionals through a search feature. The search can be generated by key word (UML®, BPM, Real-time, etc.), by exam name (OCUP™, OMG Certified UML Professional, etc.), and name (John, Smith). The search also includes a geographic location selection, allowing organizations to more accurately locate individuals with OMG certifications.

Individuals with OMG Certifications will receive notification telling them how to opt in to the directory, update their personal and contact information, and control what information is made public in the directory. Full listings may include contact details, current company affiliation, company logo, a photograph of the individual, and certification level(s) achieved. Certified professionals are encouraged to log-on to the website to confirm their information and make any updates necessary.

About the OMG Certification Programs

• OMG Certified UML® Professional (OCUP™): OCUP certification provides an objective indication of a person's knowledge of UML®, OMG's Unified Modeling Language™. There are three different certification levels: Fundamental, Intermediate and Advanced.
  
• OMG Certified Real-time and Embedded Specialist (OCRES™): OCRES is a rigorous, comprehensive, and fair test of a person's knowledge of OMG's specifications for distributed real-time and embedded computing.
  
• OMG-Certified Expert in BPM (OCEB™): OCEB is a rigorous, comprehensive and fair test of a candidate's knowledge and skills in the areas of Business Process Management and Business Process Modeling. OCEB consists of five Certifications: A single Fundamental level, plus a pair of Intermediate and Advanced certifications divided into distinct Business and Technical tracks.
