OMG Announces Program for Real-time, Embedded and
Enterprise-Scale Time-Critical Systems Workshop
May 24-26, 2010, Washington, D.C., USA

Needham, MA, USA - March 5, 2010 - OMG™ today announced the program for the Eleventh Annual Real-time, Embedded and Enterprise-Scale Time-Critical Systems Workshop, to be held on May 24-26, 2010 in Arlington, VA, USA. For the full program and registration details visit http://www.omg.org/rte-program-pr.

Stringent performance requirements are a feature of a broad range of computer applications, from enterprise-scale systems handling bookings and online financial transactions to compact systems embedded in software radios, cell phones, medical equipment and vehicles of all kinds. However, whether their code is running on enterprise servers or embedded within devices, the designers of these mission-critical, time-critical systems share many challenges, and address them using similar design approaches.

This Workshop provides a forum for software engineers and researchers to learn about new design approaches, share their experiences, and find out about emerging standards. Program highlights include:

Tutorials

  • Real-time Data Distribution Service (DDS)
  • DDS NESI Guidelines
  • DDS QoS Unleashed
  • The UML Profile for Data Distribution Service (DDS)
  • A Solutions-based approach to MBSE architectures with UPDM
  • Resource-aware deployment, configuration and adaptation for Fault-tolerant Distributed Real-time Embedded Systems
  • Featuring presenters from: Atego, MITRE, PrismTech, Real-Time Innovations, Sparx Systems and Vanderbilt University

Session topics include:

  • Tools
  • Large-scale systems
  • Model-Driven Techniques
