OMG Announces Data Distribution Service and SoaML
Finalized Plus Six Additional Specifications Adopted;
Three New Processes Open for Participation
Needham, MA, USA - April 12, 2010 - OMG™ members met in Jacksonville,
FL the week of March 22-26, 2010, sponsored by No Magic, Sparx Systems and
Real Time Innovations. At this meeting, the OMG Board of Directors voted
to approve eight specifications and members began work on three new
standards processes. These processes are now open for comment and
participation.
New Specifications Adopted
- Data Distribution Service (DDS) for CORBA® Component Model FTF
Report
- SoaML FTF Report
- Decision Support Service Submission
- MOF Facility and Object Lifecycle FTF 2 Report
- CORBA Bindings for WSDL FTF Report
- Query / Views / Transformation (QVT) 1.1 RTF report
- UML 2.3 RTF Report
- Ground Equipment Management Service (GEMS) 1.1 RTF Report

Rich Internet
Application (RIA) Component Interoperability RFI
The goal of this proposed specification is to promote industry consensus
on the importance of component interoperability between diverse RIA
platforms.
Argumentation
Metamodel (ARM) Request for Comments
This specification will define a metamodel for representing structured
arguments.
Requirements
Interchange Format (ReqIF) Request for Comments
The goal is to achieve collaborative requirements management where
requirements management does not stop at company borders.
