OMG Announces No Magic as Platinum
Annual Sponsor
Needham, MA, USA - June 3, 2010 - OMG™ today announced
that No Magic, Inc. has become a 2010 OMG Annual Sponsor at
the tier-one Platinum level for a third consecutive year. As
an active OMG member, representatives of No Magic are on
OMG's Board of Directors, and Architecture Board, in
addition to serving as co-chairs of the Process Metamodel
Architecture Board Special Interest Group, the UPDM 1.1
Revision Task Force and the UML® Simplification Working
Group. OMG, founded in 1989, is an international, open
membership, not-for-profit computer industry consortium with
more than 500 members worldwide, including government
agencies, small and large IT users, vendors and research
institutions.
OMG is most known for its standards development work,
building enterprise integration standards for a wide range
of technologies. Over time, OMG has evolved to meet the
changing business needs of Information Technology by playing
a strong role as a builder of practitioner-driven
Communities of Practice focused on Green/Sustainability,
Service Oriented Architecture, BPM, Cyber Security and Event
Processing, while staying true to its standards development
roots. OMG has also, in partnership with UTI, developed
several certification programs, testing knowledge of UML®,
Real-time and Embedded Systems, Business Processes and a new
program on Systems Engineering.
"Because of our significant involvement with OMG and
strict adherence to the OMG standards, No Magic is
considered the most standards-compliant software company in
the industry. As a result, all of our solutions bring true
end-to-end interoperability to the enterprise," said
Gary Duncanson, President and CEO of No Magic, Inc and
member of the OMG's Board of Directors. "Each one of
our product releases, including the latest release of
MagicDraw 16.8, SysML, UPDM/DoDAF/MODAF demonstrates our
continued commitment to maintaining industry standards. Our
clients benefit from true interoperability and increased
stakeholder value by avoiding proprietary 'vendor lock-in',
a major cause of increased risk and cost for the
enterprise," said Mr. Duncanson. "Our onsite and
online courses will prepare individuals for the
corresponding UML, SysML (OCSMP™) and UPDM/DoDAF/MODAF
certification programs offered by OMG," he added.
"No Magic has taken a leadership role in the
development and use of OMG standards. Their support of all
of our standards initiatives will greatly add to the success
of the 100 specifications currently underway at OMG,"
said Richard Mark Soley, Ph.D., chairman and CEO, OMG.
