Cloud Standards Customer Council
Announces "Practical Guide to Cloud Computing"
Issues Call for Participation in Guide and New
Working Groups
Needham, MA, USA - June 7, 2011 - Cloud
Standards Customer Council (CSCC) members have begun a
project to create a "Practical Guide to Cloud
Computing." The project is still accepting
participation and is slated to be published in Q4. The CSCC
has also issued a Call for Participation in several new

Melvin Greer, Senior Fellow and Chief Strategist, Cloud
Computing, Lockheed Martin; interim chair, CSCC steering
committee, called for volunteers to work on the
"Practical Guide to Cloud Computing."
"We've received a fantastic response from customers
interested in cloud adoption, but there are still a lot of
questions," said Melvin Greer. "With the creation
of the Practical Guide to Cloud Computing, the CSCC hopes to
dispel the myths, clear up the hype and clarify what it
means to adopt cloud computing."

The CSCC has issued a call for participation in new
working groups. Members have already suggested several areas
of interest including:

- Transportation
Elections for the steering committee will take place at
the first face-to-face meeting of the CSCC on June 21, 2011
in Salt Lake City, UT. Membership is free for qualified
end-user organizations. The membership application is
