Object Management Group Hosts
Technical Meeting in Burlingame, CA
Needham, MA—The Object Management Group (OMG®) will be
hosting their quarterly technical meeting for both members
and interested nonmembers at the Hyatt Regency San Francisco
in Burlingame, CA. The meeting will run from Monday,
December 10th to Friday, December 14th.
The meeting will include the tutorial, “Introduction to
OMG’s Modeling & Middleware Specifications” hosted by Dr.
Jon Siegel, Vice President of Technology Transfer at OMG.
Throughout the week, up to 25 parallel subgroup meetings
will be held. These working meetings will focus on the
development of software standards in the domain and platform
technology areas including: Finance, Manufacturing, CORBA,
Security and more. The week culminates with a Technology
Committee (TC) meeting where representatives of member
organizations with voting privileges recommend adoption of
specifications.
The OMG Technical Meetings provide a neutral forum to
discuss, develop and adopt standards that enable software
interoperability for a wide range of industries. Attendees
are able to influence the direction of future standards
work, hear from industry experts, network, and be among the
first to know what will be cutting edge tomorrow.
