OMG To Host Summit On Model-Based Systems Engineering In Healthcare In Reston, VA on March 25
Will explore how to leverage MBSE to support the modernization, integration, and innovation of healthcare solutions

Needham, MA - 01-13-15 - The Object Management Group® (OMG®) will be hosting its second "Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) in Healthcare: The Modernization, Integration and Innovation Summit" on March 25 in Reston, VA. The Summit will bring together thought leaders from government agencies, system integrators, and practitioners to discuss the challenges, strategies, and current and emerging practices, as well as help formulate a path forward in MBSE adoption.

The current healthcare environment - from operating rooms to administration - continues to be plagued by a lack of integration across disparate devices, systems, and processes. A recent report from the Presidential Council of Advisors on Science and Technology identified the application of a systems approach will help develop balanced solutions to address the breadth of stakeholder needs: from the patient to medical staff and administrators, insurers, and regulators.

"Systems engineering is critical to solving the problem of lack of integration in today's healthcare environment," said Chris Unger, Chief Systems Engineer, GE Healthcare. "A systems approach to healthcare will lead to higher quality, faster delivery, and lower costs. This event is a great opportunity for attendees to learn what benefits Model Based Systems Engineering brings to healthcare IT and to the development and usage of biomedical devices."

Registration for the event is $199 USD. Learn more and register at www.omg.org/va-15.
