"OMG Webinar: Development of New Standard for XBRL” Recorded - Wednesday, August 13, 2008 OMG® invited anyone interested in business reporting languages to view a free live webinar explaining a new standard development initiative for XBRL (Extensible Business Reporting Language). The webinar was held on Wednesday, August 13, 2008 from 2:00 - 3:00 p.m. EDT. After viewing the webinar, attendees were encouraged to ask questions of the presenters. The webinar was hosted by the OMG to help organizations with an interest in formal models of business, operational and accounting detailed information to understand and respond to the UML Profile for XBRL GL RFI. Representatives from the OMG and XBRL will help companies, software developers and others with an interest in such models to better understand: - What is the value of formal models of ERP data in business?
- What is the Global Ledger, and what is its role in integration of business systems?
- What is a UML Profile, and how can it facilitate the implementation of XBRL GL?
