Subject Area Concepts The Logical 02339 - Retail Transaction Tender Account View subject area shows how a RetailTransaction can be tendered using either a CustomerAccount or a CustomerAccountCard. The CustomerPurchaseOrderInfo entity types allows the POS to record customer supplied purchase order information rather than using a customer account, while CustomerAgent allows the retailer to record data about the person who is conducting the transaction on behalf of the Customer (for example, the name of the staff member who is providing the purchase order as tender). FleetInfo allows a retailer in the forecourt segment of the retail industry to record such fleet information as VehicleNumber, DriverNumber, and/or OdometerReading at the time of a fuel purchase. TenderAuthorization and TenderAccountApprovalReference are re-presented in this view to show that these tender authorization entities can be used to authorize in-house CustomerAccount tender instruments as well as third party tender instruments. Implementation Note: Although the model includes relationships from CustomerAccountTenderLineItem to both CustomerAccount and CustomerAccountCard it is expected that any particular system will only implement one of these two relationships. |
