Subject Area Concepts This subject area identifies the entities used to capture transaction and transaction line item overrides. Overrides are used to force the posting of transaction and transaction line items when one or more of their attribute values violate retailer defined point of sale rules. Overrides require a higher-level of authority (typically a store manager) and are audited through the WorkstationRuleOverrideHistory entity . The actual override action is captured in the entity types contained in the pink Record of Transaction Override block in the entity diagram. Overrides apply to retail transactions as well as control transactions. |
