13:30-14:15   "Modeling of Multi-Domain Business Systems: Challenges, Foundations and Practical Solutions" -- Prof. Bernd Blobel, U. of Regensburg Medical School. Joint session with the Healthcare Domain Task Force

• Abstract: First, health systems’ transformationto translational and 5P medicine is shortly introduced. Challenges andsolutions for multi-domain business systems will be discussed from differentperspective such as mathematics and philosophy, but also systems theory, thetheory of knowledge and the theory of languages. Thereby, knowledgerepresentation and management including ontology development and managementwill be tackled. Regarding the systems development process, OMG’s MDA andISO/IEC 10746 ODP-RM are considered and compared. In that context, goodmodeling practices best practices, the abstraction and expressivity oflanguages and scope-specific grammars, enterprise architectures, informationand data modeling are analyzed. As solution, ISO 23903 Interoperability andIntegration Reference Architecture – Model and Framework is presented indetail, completed with practical deployment examples. Here, also solutions forsecurity, privacy or ethical challenges are presented and discussed.
