Agenda & Objectives:

This will be a formative meeting to discuss the creation of a Security Fabric Special Interest Group as well as a discussion on a "community of practice", which is presently an informal consortium called the Security Fabric Alliance focused on functional operational requirements using lean developments.

1330 -1400 Welcome and Introduction
Richard Mark Soley, PhD, Chairman & CEO, Object Management Group
Dr. Soley will give the audience a brief introduction on what SF SIG is and what it wants to achieve. Dr. Soley will also introduce the speakers.
1400 - 1430 History and Background
Norman Eaglestone, Chief Systems Engineer of MACE Fusion Center
Mr. Eaglestone will present a brief history of critical infrastructure security issues with focuses on the White House, NSA, DHS, nuclear power stations and electric grids. The argument on the critical need of security will be made.
1430 - 1500 Department of Defense and Intel Case Study
LT. Rollie J. Wicks, Chief of Sensor Exploitation, National Geospatial Agency (NGA)
LT Rollie J. Wicks, USN, Chief of Sensor Exploitation, Office of Information Integration, ISR Integration Division, National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) LT Wicks will deliver a brief on security issues in DOD and INTEL Agencies and important parallels in reasoning systems for managing and securing systems ranging from the Electric GRID to securing ship systems, to the war fighter at the tactical edge.
1500 - 1515 Afternoon Refreshements
1515 - 1545 Case Study

1545 - 1615 Introduction to the Security Fabric Alliance
Charles "Chuck" Speicher, Managing Principal Secure Systems Center,  McAfee
Mr. Speicher will introduce and explain the importance of the Security Fabric Alliance, a growing community of practicing professionals who are committed to achieving end-to-end security within the ecosystem of all critical infrastructures.
1615 - 1645 Introduction to the OMG Technology Adoption Process
Andrew Watson, Vice President and Technical Director, Object Management Group
Mr. Andrew Watson will take the audience through the process of adopting a specification as an official OMG standard.
1645 - 1745 Round-Table Discussion
Norman Eaglestone, Chief Systems Engineer, MACE Fusion Center
Mr. Eaglestone will lead an open audience discussion on what the SF SIG needs to work on and ideas for the SFA. Mr. Eaglestone will also make closing comments to wrap-up the meeting.
