No Magic Nerijus Jankevicius is the MBSE Product Manager at No Magic, with 10+ years of experience in software development and modeling. He has been a MagicDraw UML team member since the very beginning of tool development in 1997 and is responsible for system analysis, technical requirements, design and implementation, focusing on supporting UML standard and domain-specific extensions. Since 2006, Nerijus has been working on SysML implementation in MagicDraw and has the role of SysML Product Manager. Responsibilities include all phases of development – market analysis, requirements, guidance of DSL customizations for SysML language, technical mentoring and product representation in trade shows and seminars. Nerijus's responsibilities include visiting customers and solving model-related issues on site. In recent years he conducted UML and SysML related trainings and consulting in Europe. Nerijus is an active and influential participant in OMG UML and OMG SysML Revision Task Forces (RTF) and has been the official No Magic representative for these OMG standards since 2004. Nerijus is one of the first OMG Certified Advanced UML 2.0 Professionals in Europe. Prior to becoming CTO for No Magic, Mr. Laursen was a Principal Engineer for Scientific Research Corporation, where he provided strategic, architectural, software development and systems engineering services to SRC’s DoD customers. Before his defense work, Mr. Laursen was involved in the Bio IT space, serving as Senior Software Architect for GenoLogics Life Science Software and Director of Product Development for Indigo BioSystems. Mr. Laursen began applying modeling in earnest as Senior North American Consultant for Select Business Solutions, where he provided architectural, modeling and training services to financial, energy, shipping and telecommunications clients. As Staff Engineer for WebGain, Inc., Mr. Laursen was a primary developer of an innovative application development environment based on Java component assembly without traditional coding. In the earlier part of his career Mr. Laursen provided his consulting customers with technical services ranging from Smalltalk development to the construction of commercially deployed frameworks and solutions for a wide variety of interests. Drew Pihera is a Research Scientist at the Georgia Tech Research Institute and is the Head of the System Engineering Software Applications Branch. Mr. Pihera's current focus is on web-based, collaborative applications for systems engineering purposes, decision support and education. In addition, he teaches in GTRI short courses and advises students during their capstone projects in the Professional Master's of Applied Systems Engineering at the Georgia Institute of Technology.
