Summit on Software Defined Networking to Take Place in Austin, Texas
Will discuss the challenges, opportunities, and outlook in the industry

Needham, MA - 08-05-14 - The Object Management Group® (OMG®) will be hosting the Software Defined Network (SDN) Summit: Challenges, Opportunities and Outlook in Austin, Texas on Thursday, September 18th. The event will take place at the Sheraton at the Capitol.

The SDN Summit will bring together thought leaders and practitioners to discuss current and emerging challenges for applications, work through those challenges and begin to formulate a path forward to enable standards as well as integrated and cost-effective solutions. Current integration of SDN systems and solutions have proven to be cumbersome and expensive. With the rapid fluctuation in the technological landscape and ever-changing business partners and collaborative organizations, traditional interchange approaches continue to disappoint.

Summit attendees will have the opportunity to hear from industry thought leaders and exchange experiences and ideas in discussion groups and breakout sessions. The keynote, "Finding Business Value Through the Hype", will be delivered by Randy Cross, Senior Director for Fabric and Infrastructure Product Management, Avaya.

"The OMG Software Defined Networking Working Group is working on flexible, transparent, and powerful standards that will allow interoperable and portable solutions," said Dr. Richard Soley, Chairman & CEO of OMG. "Not only will this summit in Austin give attendees the opportunity to learn more about OMG SDN standardization efforts and the real world applications of these standards, but they will discover the business value of SDN in their organization."

This event is open to all interested participants. The registration fee is $199 USD. Click here to view the full agenda and register.
