OMG Request For Comments
Business Process Modeling Notation (BPMN) Business Motivation Model (BMM)
OMG’s Business Modeling Integration Domain Task Force (BMI DTF) and Domain Technology Committee are in the process of adopting the BPMN and BMM via our fast-track Request for Comments (RFC) adoption process. OMG’s Policies and Procedures require posting as part of this process: The TC … may then, by majority vote, cause OMG to issue the specification as an RFC. … The comment period then opens. During the RFC period, any party (including all classes of OMG Members, as well as any non-Member of OMG) may send comments on the proposal to OMG… The comment period closes forty days later, or three weeks before the start of the next TC meeting, whichever is the later. At this point the RFC and all comments received are sent back to the issuing TF, which decides whether they contain any significant objection to OMG adoption of the specification. The TF decides, by majority vote, whether to recommend the Specification to its parent TC for adoption. To send a comment to the BMI DTF, fill out this form and press the <Submit> button. OMG members may choose to send an email to <juergen@omg.org> instead, but non-members must use this form to avoid being caught in OMG’s spam filter. Anonymous comments will be discarded; you must provide your name and return email address, and respond to a confirming email sent to that address. Company name is helpful, but not required. Comments should address the adoptability of these documents as OMG specifications; to register an issue with these specifications that does not (in your opinion) affect adoptability, use the form at http://www.omg.org/technology/agreement.htm.
