Justifying any new technology to a business executive isn't easy work. Too
many times we've made promises about a new approach or tool that will be a
"silver bullet," only to find it sitting on a shelf years later gathering dust.
We've become an industry looking for the next "killer app" with no hope for ever
finding it. Yet, what do we do when we actually do find a targeted solution that
has benefits - even if those benefits won't solve every problem we'll face? How
do we make a business case for the technology in a way that won't be considered
another pie-in-the-sky solution? The challenge becomes even greater when the
technology we're talking about is making grandiose promises about changing the
way software is developed on a grand scale. This is the challenge we face when
considering MDA® technology.
