Advanced Exam

The Advanced Exam covers a broader range of concepts and knowledge from Real-time and Embedded programming standards than the intermediate Exam.

You are not required to take or pass these examinations in order, or within any time limit.

The OCRES Advanced Exam covers several additional chapters of a textbook on real-time software engineering, plus portions of these nine OMG specifications:

  • UML Profile for Schedulability, Performance, and Time
  • UML Profile for Quality of Service and Fault Tolerance
  • Real-time CORBA with Dynamic Scheduling

You can download all of the covered specifications from OMG's website without charge, but will have to buy the textbook on which the real-time principles sections are based (unless you can find a copy in a nearby company or university library).
