Using the OMG & CORBA, and UML logos on Clothing
Please contact the OMG for special approval when using the OMG logo on
clothing or marketing incentives. A simplified logo graphic format may be
approved in certain cases.
Colors for the Web
When using colors on the World Wide Web, they must be described by their
hexadecimal values. This is the way that HTML identifies color. There are
obvious color shifts from browser to browser, platform to platform,
monitor to monitor. For a close approximation of OMG's corporate colors,
please refer to the OMG web site at http://www.omg.org
or refer to a PMS Hexadecimal Conversion Chart.
Logo Misuse
Use OMG-provided, electronic files or hard-copy, reproduction-quality art
only; the logos may not be re-designed. The logos should not be
compromised or misused in any way. Do not change the relationship, size,
perspective, shape or configuration in any way. Examples of misused logos
include reworked proportions, repositioning of logo elements, combining
logo with additional elements, switching logo colors, adding a separate
color background to any of the elements, or stretching logo horizontally
or vertically. If there is any question concerning the exact logo usage,
please contact the OMG marketing department at +1-781-444 0404 or trademarks@omg.org.
The OMG Logo
 |
This logo consists of
the graphic and the logotype. The combination of these elements is
referred to here as "the corporate logo." The logotype
reads, "Object Management Group." |
The OMG Logo Colors
To maintain a consistent look in the OMG identity system, the official
corporate colors must be used. The OMG graphic and logotype must always be
reproduced in one color. The color options available are black, white, or PMS
teal #3272. If a vendor does not use PMS colors, they should match the
PMS colors as closely as possible. The logo can be reversed out of any
color, as long as the background color is solid and uniform. The logo can
be printed over any background color as long as the background color is
light enough for the black overprint.
The OMG graphic may be used separately from the
logotype, but the logotype must never be used separately from the graphic.
When using the two elements together, always use the entire signature to
size the logo for artwork. Never cut apart the elements of a signature,
reposition, re-size or re-proportion them, or substitute other graphic
elements within the signature.
Due to the
size of the logotype beneath the graphic, the two should never be used
together in a size that measures less than .75 inches in total width. If
the signature must go below the .75 width measure, use the symbol alone
without the logotype.
The OMG Logo Typography
The logotype (OMG) typeface is ITC Kabrel* Ultra, all caps. The theme
(OBJECT MANAGEMENT GROUP) typeface is ITC Kabrel* Ultra, all caps. Fonts

The CORBA Logos

|
The
CORBA logo and signature is available in several formats: positive
black, grayscale, and 2-color. The CORBA logo is also available in
vertical and horizontal formats. The 2 -color option available is
black and PMS #485 or CMYK format 100% magenta and 100% yellow for
the red arrow in the logo. The grayscale option available is black
and 40% black for the arrow. The logo can be reversed out of any
color, as long as the background color is solid and uniform. The
logo can be printed over any background color as long as the
background color is light enough for the black overprint.

The UML Logo
 |
The UML logo and signature is
available in two formats: Positive black, and 3-color. The 3-color
option is the "U" in PMS #470 (Reddish-Brown), the
"M" in PMS#144 (Orange/Yellow), the "L" and
the font "UNIFIED MODELING LANGUAGE" in PMS#281
(Purple). The CMYK format is: the Reddish-Brown "U" in
50% Cyan, 80% Magenta and 100% Yellow; the Orange/Yellow
"M" in 50% Magenta and 100% Yellow; the Purple
"L" and the font "UNIFIED MODELING LANGUAGE"
in 100% Cyan, 80% Magenta and 40% Yellow. The logo can be printed
over any background color as long as the background color is light
enough for the black overprint. |
The MDA Logo and Diagram
  |
This MDA Logo consists
of the graphic and the logotype. The combination of these elements
is referred to here as "the MDA logo." The logotype
reads, "Model Driven Architecture." The two elements
should be kept as a single unit at all times.
The MDA Logo Colors
To maintain a consistent look in the MDA identity
system, the official colors must be used. The MDA graphic and
logotype
|
must always be reproduced in one color as
grayscale (black plus gray tones or equivalent screen values) or as two
colors, PMS teal #325 and PMS blue #300. If a vendor does not use PMS
colors, they should match the PMS colors as closely as possible. The logo
can be printed over a solid background color as long as the background
color is light enough for a clear, highly legible overprint. The logo
should never be printed over a dark, patterned, textured and/or pictorial
background.
The MDA graphic and logotype must be kept
unchanged as a single unit at all times. Always use the entire signature
to size the logo for artwork. Never cut apart the elements of the
signature, reposition, re-size or re-proportion them, or substitute other
fonts, type or graphic elements within the signature. Do not add
additional type or graphic elements.
Due to the detail of the graphic, the size should always measure at
least .75 inches in total width (or at least .5 inch if .75 is not
possible). There should be a distance of at least 1/4 inch between the MDA
logo and any other elements of the piece.
The MDA Logo Typography
The logotype (MDA) typeface is Frutiger Black, all caps. The
font can be found at the Adobe Web Site at:
