OMG and LEADing Practice Enter Into a Strategic Partnership
Will allow collaboration on standardization efforts on both sides

Needham, MA - 10-29-14 - The Object Management Group® (OMG®) and LEADing Practice have entered into a strategic partnership to set a new level of interconnected standards. To foster cross-references between each organization's standards, both agree to a membership swap, allowing members from each organization to take advantage of the standards work and knowledge of the other.

Fred Cummings, a longtime member of OMG, will join LEADing Practice as a chair, while Prof. Mark von Rosing, Chairman of the Global University Alliance and Founder of LEADing Practice will be nominated for a chair position at OMG. LEADing Practice will become more involved with OMG Task Forces and Working Groups that work on standards such as the Business Motivation Model (BMM), the Case Management Model (CMM), Business Process Management and Notation (BPMN), and the Value Delivery Modeling Language (VDML).

"The technology industry, as a whole, will benefit from this relationship with the production of better-integrated standards in the areas where OMG and LEADing Practice are both active," said Dr. Richard Soley, Chairman and CEO, OMG. "OMG is looking forward to taking advantage of LEADing Practice's relationship with the Global University Alliance - an international consortium of university lecturers and researchers -- while LEADing Practice will enjoy early access to OMG standardization processes and working groups."

"We look forward to having this mutually beneficial relationship grow to its fullest potential and enhance the interconnection of standards," said Henrik von Scheel, CEO, LEADing Practice.
